Title: Faculty Position Location: Krannert School of Physical Therapy, University of Indianapolis Date: February 19, 2005 Krannert School of Physical Therapy Academic Faculty Search
Position Description: The position is a 12-month appointment with academic rank, tenure status, and salary commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include teaching, service to the university and community, participation in scholarly endeavors, and academic advising. Primary consideration will be given to those applicants with expertise in cardiopulmonary, integumentary, acute care, and/or medical imaging content areas. Applicants with expertise in other content areas will be considered in accordance with the needs of our program. Teaching and research advising in the postprofessional programs of the Krannert School of Physical Therapy may be negotiated based on interest and expertise. An average of one day per week may be used to pursue clinical practice or other professional development opportunities. The beginning date for appointment is July 2005.

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics: • Integrity and strong personal, academic, and clinical values • Communication skills that facilitate free exchange of ideas and information among faculty, students, and the professional community • Accessibility and the ability to work effectively with all types of people
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Be a physical therapist eligible for Indiana licensure • Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree • Possess a strong basic science background • Have experience as a successful academic and clinical teacher • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities • Demonstrate activity in scholarly endeavors, broadly defined. • Demonstrate a record of involvement with the professional community.
