The International Society of Biomechanics activly promotes the development of students in the field of  biomechanics. Student members are eligible for Dissertation Grants, ISB Congress Travel Grants and lnternational Travel Grants. A total of 17 awards were made in 1999,  15 in 2000 and 25 in 2001.
