Materialise produces software centered around the Rapid Prototyping industry.

Mimics Software:

Mimics enables you to input CT or MRI data. You can then perform segmentations on the data to select bone, soft tissue, skin, etc. From there you can visualize in 3D and then make a file for a rapid prototype machine. Aside from Rapid Prototypes, you can interface with CAD systems through our MedCAD module by outputting IGES files or inputting STL files.

SurgiCase Software & Templates:

SurgiCase software is used to read and view a patient’s CT scan images. It allows dentists to create a plan for dental implants that is based on both clinical (bone quality & quantity) and aesthetic considerations. Once the plan is completed it is exported to generate a SurgiCase Templates. The guide is used to lead the surgeons drill to the exact planned location.

Other software includes:

Magics RP is similar to a CAD system for STL files. With Magics, you can perform an array of measurements, look at cross sections as well as repair STL files. You can also alter an STL file with the cut, mirror, boolean or extrude operations. Magics also has triangle reduction and smoothing features.

Magics Communicator- the world's leading program for peer-to-peer, real-time 3D model communication across an organization's LAN/WAN or the Internet.
