Novel pressure distribution measurement systems are widely used in the medical and industrial communities. Novel systems are constructed using capacitive sensor technology allowing for accurate and reliable data.

System Families:

  • emed(R): pressure platforms for functional foot diagnostics, evaluation of treatment and rehabilitation progress, biomechanic and orthopaedic research.
  • pedar(R): in-shoe system for investigating the foot and footwear interface (including shoe fit and orthosis functionality) and evaluation of treatment and rehabilitation progress.
  • pliance(R): pressure system for investigating contact pressure with flexible and elastic mats at a variety of interfaces including seats, horse saddles, hands and prostheses.

Analysis Software:

  • Novel offers extensive analysis software to aid in the process of understanding and analyzing the collected data. Features such as regional analysis, foot structure definitions, dynamic 3D display, and multiple file analysis are available.
  • Novel database Pro(R): flexible patient database which links to all Novel software. All results can be stored in database to allow for easy querying of the data and statistical analysis.
  • Novel projects(R): custom reporting software that generates HTML report files for easy storage and sharing via inter- or intranet.
  • Novel player(R): synchronizes dynamic pressure file with video and ASCII files
