The APAB Award for 2021 ISB Conference attendance
The Asian Pacific Association for Biomechanics (APAB) is pleased to announce an award for Early Career Researchers in the Asian Pacific region to support online attendance and presentation at the 2021 Conference of the International Society for Biomechanics (ISB).
The ISB Conference has confirmed a fully virtual (online) format on 25-29 July 2021.

Notification of Outcomes June 2021
The award will reimburse the cost of the online registration for ISB
APAB Award Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must submit an ISB abstract by 8th March 2021, and must be the presenting author.
- Applicants must be a current PhD or Masters student, OR must be an Early Career Researcher within 5 years of graduating from your highest degree (degree awarded after July 2016)
- The University/ Institution listed on your ISB abstract must be in the Asian Pacific region. Member countries of the APAB are listed here: https://www.apbiomech.org/organization.html. - We request that you acknowledge the award at the end of your presentation
APAB Award Application Guidelines
- Submit your abstract to ISB by 8th March 2021: https://isb2021.com/submission/
- Complete the Application Cover Page in English, and attach your ISB abstract.
- Email the cover page and abstract as a single PDF document to Elizabeth Clarke by 31st May 2021 (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
Selection Criteria
- The winner will be selected based on the scientific quality and significance of the research in the abstract.
- We may contact applicants during the selection process to confirm whether the abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation, or to confirm eligibility.
