The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford invites applications for a full-time, 10-month Tenure Track position in Physical Therapy at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August 15, 2018.

The chosen candidate’s primary responsibilities will include: culturally responsive teaching in areas of expertise; contributions to program development and assessment; active involvement in Department, College, and University committees, demonstration of high levels of professional productivity as evidenced by sustained excellence and innovation in her/his field of practice, and service to academic, professional, and Hartford area communities. There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative, University Interdisciplinary Studies (UIS) curriculum.

The requirements for this position include: a terminal academic degree Ph.D., D.Sc., Ed.D., or equivalent in a health-related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to those with the following: teaching experience in higher education settings in courses including Clinical Biomechanics, musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment or clinical orthopedics, scientific inquiry and/or Anatomy; willingness to employ educational technologies; and an interest in translational research including peer-reviewed presentations or publications.
