The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenured Professor appointment as a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Mechanisms of Concussion. The appointment date for the successful candidate is anticipated to be between January and July 2019.

This is a tenured full professor faculty position in the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Calgary. The CRC Tier 1 will be appointed in accordance with University policies, based on a recommendation from the Dean, Faculty of Kinesiology. The CRC Tier 1 funding is for a seven-year, renewable term. Chair candidates will be required to have academic qualifications commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Professor and an internationally distinguished research and teaching record. Candidates must have the necessary credentials to deliver on the mission of the Chair to lead a novel research program at the intersection of leading-edge science in biomechanics and brain pathophysiology in alignment with the priorities of the Faculty of Kinesiology, Integrated Concussion Research Program, and University of Calgary including Eyes High Strategy.
