OrtoPed ULC is the leading independent distributor serving the Canadian prosthetic and orthotic community. We are looking for a determined Field Sales Representative, based out of a home office, preferably in the Calgary area, to cover our sales activities in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Southeast corner of British Colombia. The key duties and responsibilities are:



  • Handle all sales activities as well as actively participate in the planning of marketing activities in your territory. In order for you to succeed, you will be supported by our prosthetic and orthotic business segment experts, Product Manager, Sales Support Coordinator, Business Analyst, Customer Service Representatives and Management

  • Be fully knowledgeable of OrtoPed’s business, markets, technologies, products and services. As such, you need to be willing and able to showcase products from over 100 suppliers to your customers. To do so, OrtoPed and its suppliers will provide you with the proper initial and ongoing training. It will be expected that you continuously expand your technical skills

  • Organize and manage training workshops on the products we carry as well as vendor seminar programs in your territory

  • Conduct technical training sessions on prosthetic and orthotic products to our customers at their facilities or at regional trade shows, as well as train our customers on custom fittings

  • Regularly report to the Chief Operating Officer of all your activities and undertakings in your territory

  • Participate in the preparation of market assessments, competitive analyses and sales forecasts as well as monitor competitor activities

  • Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of all activities required for OrtoPed’s successful participation at tradeshows, conferences, conventions and exhibitions as well as actively represent OrtoPed in such events


You will interact daily mainly with prosthetists and orthotists as well as related health professionals. As such, the candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and has bio-mechanics experience.


As a Field Sales Representative, you are the embodiment of OrtoPed’s vision and values with its customers and you strive at developing long-standing business relationships with your customers. You are a team player, self-directed, work autonomously within a group, results-oriented and comfortable with technological products. As part of the sales process, you are extremely well organized, use a CRM software to prepare a 30/60/90 day planning, complete your pre-call plans ahead of your meetings and complete your post-call reports in a timely manner. Finally, the candidate is an excellent listener, able to earn the respect of its customers, multi-task and is solution driven.


OrtoPed offers a competitive remuneration package (Base salary, bonus and group insurance). Travel required at least 60% of the time.
