The School of Kinesiology at Western advocates the benefits of physical activity to society by providing a multidisciplinary approach to discovery, dissemination, and application of knowledge about human movement and its effects ( Applications are invited for a Limited-Term appointment for a period of one-year (renewable) in the School of Kinesiology. This is a full-time teaching position (research is not a component of the workload in this position) to support the curriculum needs in movement science with an emphasis on biomechanics and exercise physiology. Ideally, candidates will hold a PhD, or be near completion, in Kinesiology or a related field. Candidates must possess a record of excellence in teaching ability, or evidence of teaching potential. Demonstrated competence in developing and teaching courses in traditional and flexible learning environments would be an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad cross-section of theory-based movement science related courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level in Kinesiology. Contributing to ongoing curriculum and program development is also expected.

The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in relevant service to the School of Kinesiology and the University. The effective date of the appointment is August 19, 2019, or as negotiated. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
