The Division of Physical Therapy at the University of Minnesota is inviting talented and experienced academicians to apply for a full-time, non-tenure track faulty position as the musculoskeletal course lead or co-lead.

Position Description:
The position is a full-time, 12-month retirement replacement, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include:
• 50-80%: Teaching and research mentoring DPT students. Lead or co-lead the musculoskeletal content in the DPT curriculum. Contribute as a faculty liaison for students in the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic, an inter-professional student-led community clinic for the underserved.
• 20-50%: Research, University and professional service, and faculty governance commensurate with the needs of the Division, and the skill set and interests of the individual.
• For interested candidates, up to 25% clinical time may be possible, contracted directly as a percentage of the full faculty appointment. Development of residency, fellowship, or other advanced training programs in orthopedic and sports related content is possible.
The successful applicant must have a physical therapy degree with eligibility for licensure in Minnesota, APTA membership, and experience teaching musculoskeletal related content in a DPT program. Previous experience in clinical practice as an orthopedic physical therapist is required. Preferred applicants will have an academic doctorate. Applicants with a DPT degree and willingness to pursue an academic doctorate may be considered. Certification as a clinical specialist is also preferred. The successful applicant must have a commitment to innovation and excellence, a team-oriented mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated capacity for collaboration across the academic setting.

The Division of Physical Therapy at the University of Minnesota is an academic unit with 18 faculty lines and a 78-year history within the School of Medicine.
