The Health and Exercise Physiology Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall 2021. Teaching responsibilities will include both introductory and upper-level health science courses for undergraduates including, but not limited to, kinesiology, exercise physiology, and nutrition. We also encourage candidates to identify other courses within their area of expertise that would expand and complement course offerings of the HEP curriculum. In addition to teaching within the department, faculty are expected to teach the Common Intellectual Experience, a liberal arts seminar for all first-year students. We seek teacher-scholars who are passionate about undergraduate education and research.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program that engages undergraduate student researchers with opportunities for co-publications and presentations. We welcome candidates with expertise in human research studies that focus on diverse populations, health-related outcomes, and the intersections of physical activity/exercise and nutrition, obesity, diabetes, or chronic disease prevention.
Candidates with expertise in minority health/health disparities are particularly encouraged to apply.
