We are currently seeking applications for a Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, focused on Human Performance. This is a new position within a vibrant group of research staff, graduate students, post-docs and faculty in biomechanics and applied physiology, all working in association with the Bowerman Sports Science Center, housed inside the new Hayward Field athletic facility. Additionally you will work in frequent collaboration with bioengineering faculty in the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact.
The ideal candidate will have an M.S. in biomechanics, mechanical engineering, physiology, sport science, or related academic field, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas:
- 3D Motion Analysis (optical, electromagnetic, dynamic CT, flouroscopy, or other imaging modality)
- Wearable Sensors (IMUs, EMG, GPS, etc.)
- Biomechanical Modeling (inverse and/or forward dynamics, finite element, tissue remodeling, multiscale, etc.)
- Machine Learning and Database Management
- Programming in Matlab, Python, Labview or similar
