The Cognition and Dexterity (CoDex) Lab at the University of Georgia is seeking a highly motivated full-time research assistant to contribute to neuroscience and neural rehabilitation research in human motor control, skill learning, and recovery. The appointment will be for 1-year with the opportunity for renewal. The position is covered by full staff benefits at the University of Georgia.
The research assistant’s primary role is to assist ongoing research projects in the lab. Study populations include both healthy people and patients who suffer from neuromotor deficits, especially upper-limb impairments after brain damage. The position involves work on collaborative projects with neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians. The immediate goal is prototyping and piloting experiments, devices, and therapies in stroke patients to improve our understanding of the neural mechanisms of upper limb dexterous function. This position will provide invaluable experience for anyone interested in pursuing graduate study in the fields of biomedical engineering, neuroscience, physical medicine, and experimental and cognitive psychology. Read more about the lab at: http://codexlab.org. Please follow this link https://www.ugajobsearch.com/postings/201569 to apply.

Women and under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to apply.
