Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Angelo State University

The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position. The primary teaching responsibilities will be undergraduate courses in exercise physiology and biomechanics.

Job duties include: 

• Teach primarily undergraduate courses, but assignments at the graduate level are also possible;


• Serve as faculty advisor and facilitate successful programming of the department student organization Kappa Mu Omega;


• Serve on department, college, and university committees;


• Continue or develop scholarly research, including supervising student research projects


• Supervise, mentor, and advise students;


• Participate in community service and professional development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates should have a terminal degree in Exercise Science or a related field.


• ABD will be considered.


• College teaching experience preferred.

• Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
