We are hiring a new role for a lead musculoskeletal modeling and simulation scientist within sports performance and injury at the Joe Gibbs Human Performance Institute (JGHPI). We are particularly interested in those open to relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, for an onsite or hybrid work setting.
Role Overview:
Creation of kinematic and kinetic features from motion capture and force data for sport-specific applications (can code in python)
Lead the development of pipelines for building musculoskeletal models (e.g., in OpenSim) from various biomechanics data sources such as markerless motion capture, force plates, and EMG data.
Create personalized models derived from MR images to enhance the accuracy and applicability of our simulations.
Conduct cutting-edge research in MSK simulation to optimize human movement and performance, including presenting and publishing findings to scientific and lay communities, athletes, coaches, etc.
Collaborate alongside experts across biomechanics, sports science, machine learning, data science, and more.
