The Sport Biomechanics Laboratory at Auburn University, under the direction of Dr. Wendi Weimar, has an opening for a PhD candidate for the fall of 2025. Our laboratory focuses primarily on lower extremity biomechanics during walking, running and other athletic movements. Of particular interest is the influence of the person to ground interfaces on lower extremity dynamics and performance. Our expertise is in translational research that reaches world class athletes, government projects that focus primarily on the canine athlete, sport organizations such as Auburn Athletics, and industry sponsors.
Our lab is very active with research, personal movement assessments and teaching. We are looking to expand with motivated prospective students. We encourage all prospective students to connect us directly through our webpage portal at Contact Us – Sport Biomechanics Laboratory, or email weimawh@auburn.edu. Please include a one-page cover letter and your updated CV.
